On January 30 from noon to 1 p.m.\, Scott Kendzierski\, director of Environmental Health Services at the Health Department of Northwest Michigan\, will be presenting on septic system functioning and maintenance\, and how failing septic systems can be a health threat. "I think it's an opportunity for people to have a better understanding of wastewater systems in general\, and the threat to the environment when they're not maintained properly\," said Kendzierski of his upcoming talk.
