Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk and run begin at 9 a.m. Individual walkers\, runners and teams can collect "pledges" for participating in the walk\, or sponsor themselves with a donation. Those that raise $30 or more receive an event t-shirt. Registration forms are available at www.walkruncure.org and will also be available the morning of the event. Once again\, a feature of the event is the "Wear Your Support" bra decorating contest. All participants\, women and men\, are encouraged to decorate a bra to wear over their t-shirt or clothing during the event! Monies raised are donated to local organizations such as the Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital\, the Health Department of Northwest Michigan and to Hospice of Northwest Michigan\, to be used for women's healthcare programs and services. The event honors two courageous local women: Sue DeYoung\, a young mother of four children that died in 1992\, and Judy Edger\, who was a driving force behind this event until her death in March 1999.
