Emergency Medical Services Director

Job Description
The City of Charlevoix is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director to lead the City's Emergency Medical Service program.  Primary responsibilities will include planning, organizing and administering the Emergency Medical Training Program for all EMS Department personnel, maintaining records as required by the State of Michigan Medical Services, entering and maintaining quality assurance on all medical documentation of runs performed by the personnel of the Charlevoix City EMS Department, and supervise all volunteer EMS and will report to the Police/Fire Chief.

The selected candidate will be required to reside within twenty (20) miles of the nearest boundary of the City of Charlevoix within 90 days of their date of employment.  The City Manager may allow an additional 90 days for a new employee to comply with residency requirements.  If the employee's spouse is employed by a public employer and a conflicting/competing residency requirement results, this section shall not apply to the City of Charlevoix employee (prohibited by MCL 15.602)
