DESCRIPTION:Terra Nostra\, a concert celebrating the earth and the Great Lakes\, will be the 2023 season-opening main stage concert for the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) on Saturday April 29th at 7 pm at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts\, 800 Bay Harbor Drive in Petoskey.\n\n \n\nThe GLCO Chorus\, led by Director Andr  Strydom\, will join the orchestra\, led by GLCO Maestro Libor Ondras.\n\n \n\nThe concert program includes:\n\nSpirit Chief Names the Animal People by Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate\n\nTerra Nostra (Our earth in Latin)\, a multimedia symphony by Christophe Chagnard about climate change\, with documentary film by Charlie Spears\n\nThe Great Lakes Cantata\, composed by Gwyneth Walker\, GLCO composer-in-residence.\n\n \n\nThe concert includes an optional pre-concert talk at 6 pm by Libor Ondras as well as a post-concert reception.\n\n \n\nTickets from $35 - $65 are available at www.glcorchestra.org.  The concert is free for veterans\, active service members and students 18 and under by calling 231-487-0010.
