Event Description:
Meet and listen to the Candidates running in the City of Charlevoix Mayoral election - Mr. Dennis Halverson and Mr. Lyle Gennett. The Candidates will network with attendees, then answer questions moderated by North Central Michigan College Professor of Political Science, Scott T. LaDeur, Ph.D. Questions will be prepared in advance by the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce and Charlevoix Public Library; additionally, audience members can submit questions at the start of the forum to be selected and asked of the candidates.
Joining the Candidates for the meet-and-greet portion of the event will be the Candidates running (unopposed) for City Council Ward 1, 2, and 3: Janet Kalbfell, Mark Knapp, and Phil Parr.
This forum is in partnership with the Charlevoix Public Library and Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce, and will provide a non-bias, non-partisan opportunity for residents to learn more about the Candidates vying to serve as Mayor of Charlevoix.
