Awards definitions and criteria are below:
OUTSTANDING CITIZEN AWARD (est. 1987)
Dedicated and giving, this individual over several years, has given freely of time, talents, and resources to make the Charlevoix area a better place to live.
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (est. 2009)
Inspirational and visionary, this business operates at a level that inspires others and exhibits a vision that goes beyond "business as usual." The Business of the Year demonstrates success and exceptional performance in business practices, customer service, and community involvement.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD (est. 2009)
Service excellence is a top priority. The recipient of this award, a member business or an employee of a member business, exemplifies high standards giving priority attention to every customer, client, or guest.
NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (est. 2011)
Having opened its doors within the last 18 months, the recipient of this award is a Chamber member and entrepreneur that has demonstrated strong business growth and performance, sound business strategies and practices, unique and innovative approaches, and community involvement. Eligible businesses will be on the survey form.
YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR (est. 2011)
Driven and leading by example, this individual demonstrates leadership in professional development, civic, charitable, and social endeavors in Charlevoix. The recipient of this award is 40 years of age or under and a Chamber member.
CHARLEVOIX TOURISM EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Charlevoix Tourism Excellence Award honors the Charlevoix area's exceptional tourism industry operators. The recipient of this award demonstrates passion, innovation, dedication, and ingenuity in their contribution to the tourism economy.
Winners will be honored at the Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner held at Castle Farms on Thursday, February 20.
