Line Cook Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently and accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Assist with food prep, including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
  • Properly store and label food products
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
  • Maintain quality standards during high-volume service periods
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
  • Minimize food waste and practice proper portion control
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and food quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $23 per hour
