Line Cook
Line Cook Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently and accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Assist with food prep, including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
- Properly store and label food products
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
- Maintain quality standards during high-volume service periods
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
- Minimize food waste and practice proper portion control
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and food quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $23 per hour
