As a Housekeeper with Northern Michigan Escapes, you play a pivotal role in assisting investment property owners and homeowners in preserving and enhancing the value of their investments. This position involves participating in the day-to-day operations with the Housekeeping Team at The Edge Water Inn and Points North Inn. Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Working collaboratively as a team to efficiently and thoroughly clean rental properties for incoming guest and owner stays.
  • Performing various linen management tasks, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, stacking, transporting linens, and distributing them to rental units.
  • Lifting and transporting cleaning supplies to/from units using a utility cart.
  • Providing consistent documentation and communication to fellow Housekeepers, Housekeeping Manager, Front Desk Attendants, Assistant General Manager, and/or the General Manager.
  • Thoroughly inspecting the facility, documenting any damages, and managing items left behind after guest departure.
  • Maintaining cleaning carts and storage rooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENT:
Preferred Experience:
                                        
  • Minimum 1-2 years of housekeeping experience.
  • Familiarity with an iPad is highly valued.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Must be in good physical condition with overall strength and flexibility to perform various tasks, including walking, bending, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance, reaching, hearing, and seeing.
  • Functional hand and finger dexterity is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive a vehicle.
  • Candidates must be free of physical limitations; reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable laws.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, weekdays, and some evenings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multitasking ability with accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow directions thoroughly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with teammates, guests, and associates.
 
SCHEDULE:
 
As a full-time position, this position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings, with variations based on occupancy and season. As a part-time position requires a commitment of working weekdays and weekends, with variations based on occupancy and season. This position is based at our Charlevoix, MI., location and requires in-person attendance. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role.
