2nd Annual Beaver Island Jazz Weekend

JAZZ WEEKEND: AUGUST 19-21, 2016 On August 19 through 21, the Beaver Island Cultural Arts Association has again partnered with the Beaver Island Community Center to sponsor Beaver Island's 2nd Annual Jazz Weekend. This unique three day event features a number of Michigan jazz notables including, Pete Siers, Paul Keller, Tad Weed and Gabe Bolkosky. Beaver Island's Jazz Weekend has a distinctive personality. All performances are held in a unique venue that insures audiences have the opportunity to meet great artists up close and personal. Weather you like New Orleans jazz, Kansas City jazz, Gypsy jazz, Swing jazz, Bebop and Cool jazz, the jazz styles offered during the Jazz Weekend are varied and plentiful. Saturday, August 20 @ 7:30 PM -Dave Bennett, clarinet, with Pete Siers on drums, Paul Keller on base and Tad Weed on piano are featured on Saturday and the program will feature the "swing style" of Benny Goodman.
