An Illustrated History of Charlevoix’s Bridges

In conjunction with the Lighting Celebration of the Charlevoix Bridge Lighting Project the evening of July 4, David Miles of the Charlevoix Historical Society will present a pictorial history of the town’s six bridges. Mr. Miles will highlight the trials and tribulations of getting bridges installed beginning in 1859, the drama and comedy that have transpired at the channel crossing, the importance of all our bridges, and how Charlevoix’s bridge has come to be a major attraction in northern Michigan.
