About Liz: Northern Michigan has been both the backdrop and inspiration for my painting for more than 20 years. I am especially drawn to this unique part of the world and am continually charmed by its lively street scenes and summer festivals. My primary medium is watercolor — and my challenge is to convey the joyful abundance of flowers, fruit, and vegetables as experienced in the farmers markets. To me, the wonderful fluid quality of watercolor lends itself to capturing the active and changing landscape of street scenes and markets.
