Charlevoix Camel Cup

Charlevoix’s newest event, the Charlevoix Camel Cup, is sure to be a fun and exciting evening. Come out to Bridge Park in Downtown Charlevoix on September 24th from 4-8pm to watch twenty-four camels race to the finish line. The wooden camel cutouts were crafted by Charlevoix’s own Boogie Carlson. Each of the camels are sponsored and creatively decorated by businesses or community members. The camels will race in eight rounds, with the ninth round determining the overall winner. Six camels race per round and each round is won by rolling large numbered cubes that determine which camel moves a space forward on the raceway. Get involved by purchasing camel bucks and betting on your favorite camel(s) in each round to win! All proceeds from the Charlevoix Camel Cup will go toward the fireworks for the popular Bridge Drop event on New Year’s Eve. Be sure to grab food and specialty Camel Cup brew from Lake Charlevoix Brewing Company as they are donating a portion of sales to the event.
