Genealogy Evening Hours

Have you wanted to research your family's history but aren't sure where to start? Maybe you have started your genealogy research but need more tools to dig deeper. Well, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society is here to help! The Historical Society has a dedicated genealogy research station upstairs in the Harbor Springs History Museum with two computers set up to access the powerful research site Ancestry.com. We invite you to use our Ancestry.com subscription from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 26 when we will be open for special, extended research hours. Our staff will be available to help you use Ancestry.com and to assist with other questions you might have about family research. We will continue these extended hours through the winter including Tuesdays February 23, March 29 and April 26. In addition to these evening hours guests can access Ancestry.com anytime during our regular business hours, Tuesday - Friday from 9am to 5 pm. Guests are welcome to use our subscription either on the research computers upstairs or by bringing their own laptops to the museum. For more information or to RSVP please call us at (231) 526-9771.
