Name: Grilling for a Cure -- Monday, June 20 (The Longest Day)
Date: June 20, 2016
Time: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
In support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day event, Comfort Keepers will be hosting a Grilling for a Cure fundraiser from sunrise until sunset on Monday, June 20 (the longest day of the year) at the American House in both Charlevoix and Petoskey. The Alzheimer’s Association has challenged teams to spend the longest day of the year doing what they love to help end Alzheimer’s. Comfort Keepers joins teams from around the world in this event meant to symbolize the challenging journey of those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers--every day is the longest day if you are caring for someone with the disease. June is also Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Comfort Keepers and American House will spend The Longest Day grilling for a cure. There will also be a carwash, bake sale and numerous fun activities. The public is invited to stop at either American House location on Monday, June 20 (2000 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey or 615 Petoskey Ave, Charlevoix), make a donation to enjoy breakfast, burgers, hot dogs and all the fixins’, a clean car and delicious baked goods. Supporters may also donate to the Comfort Keepers and American House team, Comfort Keepers/American House. Visit comfortkeeperstc.com for a link to the team page. Donated funds are used for research and family support. About Comfort Keepers of Northern Michigan Comfort Keepers® of Northern Lower Michigan has been owned by Russ and Leslie Knopp since 2005.
