Go beyond the headlines of today’s issues in this lively discussion group that explores significant global concerns. Great Decisions briefing books, published by the Foreign Policy Association, are the primary resource. Topics for winter of 2017 include The Future of Europe, Trade and Politics, Conflict in the South China Sea, and Saudi Arabia in Transition. The impartial materials provide thought-provoking analyses in a written guide complemented by updates and PBS video segments. Briefing books will be made available to those registering for the course and the expectation is to read the section pertaining to the topic prior to the discussion. Class #3: Global Issues is a series of 4 classes on a common theme. When registering for Class 1 you are also registering for Class 2, 3, and 4. Registration is required.
