People choose to eat organic food for a number of reasons, most in some way related to nutrition and health. While studies support both sides, most scientifically valid studies have determined that there is no difference in the nutrient value of organic food vs. conventionally produced food. This session will address production, health and environment benefits, hazards, and expense. If a majority of the world’s food was produced by organic production, could we sustainably feed everyone in the US and around the world? Class #1: Food for a Hungry World is a series of 3 classes on a common theme. When registering for Class 1 you are also registering for Class 2 and 3. Registration is required.
