This session is being co-sponsored by the Char-Em United Way. Are you comfortable that your nonprofit is meeting the legal requirements for its fund development program? Do you know how to appropriately evaluate, acknowledgeable and non-cash donations including cars, boats and real estate? Do you understand how to report raffle items and winnings, and determine a donor's tax deductible contribution? During this session we'll discuss the common mistakes nonprofits make in gift acceptance and how to avoid these mistakes through appropriate policies and business practices.
