Toast To Literacy

Char-Em United Way and Castle Farms will present "Toast To Literacy", taking place at Castle Farms on Friday, February 21, 2015, at 7:00 pm -11:00 pm. This event will feature Beer and Wine from local breweries and wineries, as well as a food competition from several local establishments. "Toast To Literacy" will have silent auctions, music and many more activities during the evening. The proceeds from this event will help support Char-Em United Way's Dolly Parton Imagination Library program. This program puts a book a month into the hands of children from birth to age five. These books are age appropriate and sent directly to the child's home at no charge to the family. We feel that this is a valuable investment for our children in Charlevoix and Emmet counties. Every child that is given the chance to start reading early is not only more prepared for school, but has more confidence and self-esteem. We are looking for sponsors for this event!
