Water/Ways Grand Opening

Celebrate the opening of the Water/Ways exhibit with friends, food, music, speakers and a chance to see this national exhibit. Dave Dempsey, scholar for the Michigan Humanities Council will speak, Robin Berry Williams will provide background music. As part of the opening of this Museum on Main Street Water/Ways exhibit. Deleta Smith from the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians will bless the water. The Waganakising Odawa Anishinabek have been in their homelands in this area for centuries. Please take this opportunity to participate in one of their sacred ceremonies to honor Nibiish/ The Water, which is our life-giving force.
