Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Charlevoix Circle of Arts

Charlevoix Area Humane Society
Charlevoix Area Humane Society has a few generous supporters who will match donations (up to $11,000) take advantage of their offers and maximize your donation. Donations, in addition to providing ongoing shelter, food and medical care for homeless animals, will help accomplish two critically needed improvements. 1. purchase a heating and cooling and ventilation system. This will curb airborne viruses and keep shelter animals healthy while they wait to be adopted. 2. Our new in-house surgical room, making it possible for us to spay and neuter our shelter dogs and cats. This surgical room will save tens of thousands of dollars year after year.
Charlevoix Area Community Pool
The Charlevoix Area Community Pool is a non-profit organization that provides a vital link in our community for health, fitness, safety and recreation. More than 26% of our operating revenue comes from donations which keeps our fees low with no annual membership. Please donate online at www.charlevoixpool.org (link in the top right corner)
The Salvation Army
This Tuesday, DECEMBER 1ST is GIVING TUESDAY. Please remember the many struggling due to the financial burdens caused by Covid-19 and give a little more this year. You can DOUBLE YOUR DONATION to THE SALVATION ARMY OF PETOSKEY AT WALMART in Petoskey when you give at a Red Kettle thanks to a generous match of $1,000.00 provided by the Petoskey Masonic Temple. If you’d rather stay in you can still give to others in need by visiting SAPetoskey.org.
Charlevoix Historical Society
The mission of the Charlevoix Historical Society is enriching Charlevoix culture through education and engaging experiences celebrating our history. This includes protecting the iconic structures of Charlevoix: the Museum at Harsha House, the Train Depot (both of which were built in 1892), and the South Pier Lighthouse, as well as a vast, world-class collection of historic photos and artifacts, all related to the Charlevoix area. The Society also provides community enrichment programs and exhibits to celebrate Charlevoix’s history. Your gift will support our mission!
