Join us for the State of the Community luncheon on Wednesday, November 2nd, 11am-1pm. Lunch included!
The State of the Community provides attendees an opportunity to learn from community leaders about their successes and upcoming initiatives, as well as specific topics that are timely and insightful to businesses and the Chamber of Commerce mission to support Charlevoix area commerce, community, and quality of life.
NEW FORMAT THIS YEAR!
Join us for a more engaging and interactive conversation around commerce, community, and quality of life using new presentation formats designed to deliver more content, and in turn more value, for attendees.
SESSIONS & SPEAKERS
COMMERCE: Listen to Sarah Van Horn, President of the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance, and Lindsey Dotson, Executive Director of the City of Charlevoix Downtown Development Authority, as they dive into a conversation about the state of downtown, business, economy, and advocacy.
COMMUNITY: This panel discussion will feature several important aspects of our community - housing, healthcare, childcare, philanthropy, and education, to name a few, with four engaging community leaders:
-Yarrow Brown, Executive Director, Housing North
-Chip Hansen, President, Charlevoix County Community Foundation
-Dr. David Finley, President, North Central Michigan College
-Joanne Schroeder, President, Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital
QUALITY OF LIFE: Presentations around recreation and destination development will close out the event as we hear from Kent Knorr, Recreation Director for the City of Charlevoix, and Amanda Wilkin, Executive Director for Visit Charlevoix.
