Summary
The HR Intern will receive meaningful, project-oriented assignments in addition to providing hands-on overall support to the HR and Safety team. They will gain exposure to a variety of disciplines within the department including recruiting, onboarding, training, compliance, HRIS administration, employee engagement, and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, scheduling interviews, and Applicant Tracking System administration
Assist with onboarding activities such as preparing orientation materials, scheduling orientation sessions, HRIS administration, filing of new hire paperwork
Assist with the administration, scheduling, and preparation for training
Maintain and update employee records, such as personnel files
Assist with HR department projects and process improvements by preparing reports, reviewing data, performing research, working with team members within HR and throughout the organization, and making recommendations to the team
Perform visual checks and restock items for First Aid boxes
Provide general administrative human resources support including filing, auditing, and distributing written and electronic communication items such as flyers or notices
Contribute innovative ideas and provide feedback on cultural and engagement initiatives
Local travel will be required to run errands for various employee activities, requiring a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Other duties may be assigned at any time

Education and/or Experience
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or comparable field
1+ year of previous general work experience
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and electronic calendar and communication tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a passion for learning
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
