Working Hours
1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 5:00pm
Summary
The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the daily movement of parts including unloading/loading trucks, receiving material into the system, transferring material between locations, safe operation of a fork lift, cycle counting and various inventory needs. Although this position will likely have a “home base” in any of those functions, they may be asked to float, as needed, between the duties and responsibilities listed below. The Receiving Clerk is flexible and dependable with the ability to work independently without close supervision. Attention to detail and accurate counting will be essential to this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the daily pick up schedule as needed
Verify counts of goods being received and consolidate materials when possible
Work closely with Receiving Coordinator on additional assignments and improvement ideas/initiatives
Perform cycle counts
Research missing parts
Utilize Google Workspace, particularly email and other computer systems to accomplish daily tasks
Receive product into the warehouse utilizing current SOP’s
Unload shipments and verify the contents are correct and that no items are damaged
Handle and identify company part numbers and finished goods, locate parts using the computer system, understanding computerized numbers, locations, and transactions
Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by boxing and lifting items, operating forklifts, and pallet jacks for large items
Maintain a valid forklift license
Receive and follow written and oral instructions from supervisor
Follow up as necessary to ensure the work is being performed to a satisfactory level
Observe and follow all standard safety rules and regulations according to company policy
Assist in periodic inventories as required
Maintain a positive attitude and help create a culture of safety
Completed required paperwork and file in correct location
Assist with general housekeeping tasks within work area to ensure it is neat, orderly, and free from safety hazards
Assist with 5S projects to complete and submit two Lean improvements per month
Other duties may be assigned at any time

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
1+ year of experience in receiving or shipping
Ability to pick up new computer skills quickly, and work well within email, calendar, documents, and other computer systems
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well with co-workers
Good communication skills
Keen eye for detail and a team focused attitude
Willingness to learn new processes and procedures
Other Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid fork lift license
