Edward Jones Investments
Financial advisor serving individual investors | Focusing on Financial & Wealth Strategies through Strategic Planning
Before joining Edward Jones, I retired as a Detective/Sergeant after nearly 20 years of law enforcement experience. While in law enforcement, I enjoyed working with the community. Whether it was conducting seminars on scams to being part of a family during good times or bad, it meant a lot to play a significant role in someone's life.
During the later years of my career, I helped my wife, Courtney Sumpter (an occupational therapist), build Northern Michigan Equine Therapy (NMET). It was a dream of hers to combine the love of horses with helping people with challenges. NMET is a nonprofit therapeutic riding center where Courtney uses a horse as a therapeutic tool for children and adults with physical, emotional and mental challenges. During the building phase, it opened my eyes to the triumphs and struggles that come along with building a small business. I love volunteering my time at NMET - it is amazing to see the strength these young riders have despite the challenges in their lives.
As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, I combine my desire to be part of the community with helping individuals and businesses secure their financial futures. To accomplish this, I find out what is important to my clients and develop a strategic plan specific to their financial goals. But it doesn't stop there. I get to partner with my clients for life to make sure they stay on track and accomplish what we set out to do. It is indeed an honor to get to work so closely
