Castle Pub & Event Bartender
Job Summary:
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages to
customers, ensuring a positive experience, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety and
regulatory guidelines. You must be friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about drink
preparation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
? Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, take drink orders, and provide
recommendations if needed.
? Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard
recipes or customer preferences.
? Handle cash and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and
cleaning counters.
? Monitor customers’ alcohol consumption to ensure responsible drinking and to comply
with legal regulations.
? Restock and replenish bar inventory, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
? Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
? Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service and a positive customer
experience.
? Create a welcoming atmosphere, engage with customers, and promote customer
satisfaction.
? Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, the latest trends in beverages, and safety
procedures.
? Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and
beverages.
? Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and efficiently, ensuring resolution
to customer satisfaction.
? Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the bar, cleaning, and
securing the premises.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
? Previous bartending experience (preferred but not required).
? Knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and bartending techniques.
? Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and
professional manner.
? Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to handle cash, process transactions, and operate POS systems.
? Basic math skills for handling cash and providing accurate change.
? Knowledge of Michigan liquor laws and regulations.
? Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
? 18+
Preferred Qualifications:
? TIPS certification
? Experience working in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting.
? Basic knowledge of craft beers and wine

? From $16 an hour plus tips
